WHY SHOULD I COME FOR CONSULTATION?
We believe that each tattoo design should be tailored by client's personality and body shape, therefore seeing you in person will let your tattoo artist know you and your expectations better.
We will discuss how to combine your vision to a good tattoo design during the consultation and give you some of our professional advise on the graphic part, the fonts even the color combination.
By the end of the consultation, we will measure your body part and give you the quotation of your tattoo. You can book your tattoo session date with your tattoo artist if you agree with the price and paid HKD$1000 as the deposit.
WHO WILL I TALK TO AT THE CONSULTATION?
We make sure it will be your tattoo artist himself/herself to discuss with you at the consultation. As we would like to make sure you and your tattoo artist have a good communication and relationship for your tattoo.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR THE CONSULTATION?
You have to prepare your tattoo idea of course. If some reference photos would help you to explain more precise to your tattoo artist, please bring them along. But please understand, we are artist not a printer, we respect each and every artist works, that's why we wont COPY.
HOW SHOULD I CHOOSE MY TATTOO ARTIST?
Each Tattoo Artist have their style and speciality they are good at, you are strongly suggested to check on the work gallery of the tattoo artists before you make your decision.
HOW WILL YOUR TATTOO STUDIO CHARGE?
We charge by piece, as each of your tattoo idea is unique in terms of complexity, size, even your skin texture are different.
Charging by piece is more fair to both tattoo artist and clients. As you know the price before your tattoo is done, you don't have to worry about over-budget problem.
CAN I GET THE QUOTATION ONLINE OR THROUGH PHONE INSTEAD OF COMING FOR CONSULTATION?
No. Unless you are booking for tattoo convention which I'm not able to meet you in person in advance, I can give you a price range in this situations. It's for the best of your tattoo designs, as I need to know your body shape to custom for you, just like you buying a good business suit.
WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT FOR?
HKD$1000 deposit you pay when you set up a tattoo appointment with your tattoo artist is for the tattoo design of that one particular idea you told your tattoo artist during the consultation and for holding the schedule. If you change your mind of your tattoo idea in a total different theme, your deposit will be forfeited. If you need to change your tattoo appointment, please do it at least 3 hours before your booking time, or else you are not going to get back your deposit. A no show as well.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT YOU ACCEPT?
We currently accept cash only.
WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE BEFORE MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT
We strongly advise you to have good rest and 8 hours sleep the night before. Enough rest helps you to suffer less pain and blood lost during the process.
Also, we highly suggest you to have adequate food intake, especially sugar intake before you come up for the tattoo session. Sugar helps you to keep your condition when you tolerating the pain and the blood lost.
We suggest you to wear casual black clothes which is more easy to show your body part that are going to be tattooed.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSENT FORM I SIGN DURING THE CONSULTATION?
It is for making sure you are not underage or under the effect of alcohol and drugs. It is for declaring that you understand all the possible complications of getting a tattoo and you have declared all your health conditions, including any blood-related disease and skin-related disease to your tattoo artist.
WHY MY DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE?
The deposit you paid is to secure your tattoo appointment time as well as your tattoo designs. Once you have signed the consent form and paid the deposit, our artists have reserved time and started their research and design process, maybe some equipment order have proceed as well. For cancellation 1 week prior to the appointment, the deposit will cover these costs and time costs.
UNDER WHAT CONDITION, I'M NOT SUITABLE TO GET A TATTOO?
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you are not suggest to get a tattoo, please consult your doctor and tattoo artist before you do so.
If you have diabetes, epilepsy, hepatitis, haemophilia, HIV-AIDS, or any other communicable disease, heart condition or are taking medicine which thins the blood, please consult both your doctor and your tattoo artist before getting a tattoo.
AND IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, it is illegal for us to tattoo you. That's why you have to declare your age when you sign the consent form.
IT IS REALLY PAINFUL?
The pain tolerate level is different to everybody. It won't be zero-pain, it hurts for sure. But overall our clients said the pain is totally acceptable.
For your information, no one couldn't finish the whole tattoo process.
DO YOU OFFER ANAESTHETICS?
No, we don't offer any anaesthetics, except some easing cream/foam during the tattoo process.
You are not recommend to put some anaesthetics before you come for tattoo session, as skin and tattoo pigments react to anaesthetics differently from person to person, it could causes uneven color, lines break down and dull color.
CAN I COVER UP MY TATTOO IF I DON'T LIKE IT?
Technically, yes. But there are lots of restrictions on the cover-up tattoo designs, for example, the size of the cover-up should be 20-40% bigger than the exiting one and it should goes with darker color than the existing one.
As tattooing is a process include penetration of your skin, it create wounds, your skin could not tolerate wounding on the same spots for several times, so continue covering is not suggested.
CAN I REMOVE MY TATTOO WITH LASER IF I DON'T LIKE IT?
Technically, yes, but it's not 100% removal. According to some of my clients' experience, it will leave you scars and little color spots fter the laser tattoo removal.
P.S It hurts 10 times than getting a tattoo.
Therefore, I strongly suggest my clients to think more before you make your life-time decision to get a tattoo.
DO YOU OFFER FREE TOUCH-UP?
I offer one free touch-up after your tattoo is healed.
if you haven''t been taking good care of your tattoo, and have some man-caused major damage on your tattoo, the touch-up may be charged.
If your tattoo is not done by our artist, your touch-up will be charged too.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT FOR THE TATTOO DESIGN AFTER THE CONSULTATION?
Normally, your tattoo artist will send you your tattoo design 2-7 days before your tattoo session.
Please be patience, as your tattoo artist need time and inspirations to merge your idea to a practical design.
HOW LONG IS THE WAITING LIST?
Iris's waiting list is normally 2 weeks to 1 month.
It varies by seasons, so it's better for our clients to consult the artist herself to make sure.
DO YOU SELL ALL THE AFTERCARE PRODUCTS I’LL NEED?
Yes we do. After your tattoo process, your tattoo artist will give you a 3ml pillow pack of balm, with a detail aftercare instructions.
If you need a bigger pack of blam, please ask your tattoo artist.
